Cuz I know I am!! It all started on my 30th birthday. I was in LA with one of my besties, I was promised hot honey chicken. And here is what the heck happened…. So, I’m a morning person. By 6:00 am, I’m usually eyes wide open, ready to start the day. Unfortunately, after a night of birthday celebrations the rest of my party just wasn’t feeling the same way. One thing led to another and I joined another bestie for brunch. While brunching, those sneaky MF’s got HOT HONEY CHICKEN. WITHOUT ME. So needless to say, I’ve been heartbroken ever since. Well, until I came up with this hot honey chicken recipe.

Traditional hot honey chicken recipes are deep fried with breading. And you know what friends, that is not happening here. In fact, technically this recipe is Paleo! That’s right this hot honey chicken recipe is gluten-free, dairy-free, and has no refined sugars. Boom shakalaka, roast some veggies and sweet pos- you’re lookin’ real good!
And they are suuuuper easy to make. Popped on foil-lined sheet pan and baked them on the oven! Order my favorite sheet pan below!

I used chicken thighs in this recipe. Don’t get me wrong, I love chicken breast, but chicken thighs just have so much dang flavor. And it’s really hard to over cook them. Like thinking about it, I can’t remember one bad chicken thigh…. And with that, I think it’s time to get to the recipe. LOL. Enjoy beautiful people!
Hot Honey Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
- 6 Boneless Chicken Thighs
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
- 1/8- 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper- Use more if you like it extra spicy!
- 2 tsp Salt
Instructions
In medium sized bowl add chicken thighs
Mix in all other ingredients
Toss raw chicken in ingredients until coated marinate at least 1 hour
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Line a sheet pan with foil (if not you will be scrub a dub dubbin)
Add chicken to sheet pan, reserve honey marinade mixture
Put chicken into the oven
After 15 minutes, remove chicken and brush remainder of honey marinade over thighs
Put chicken back into the oven for 10 minutes or until chicken has reached 165 degrees- If you used one in chicken this will take longer
